WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Bigga Fish is a national and international grass roots youth organisation with 18 years of experience. We curate and develop creative immersive experiences to give young people the opportunity to express, grow and excel. Bigga Fish has been cut from Arts Council England for our 2018 funding and is now seeking support of our communities to give what you can to get this project going. - Please donate what you can by clicking here.
After 18 years of experience we have recognised the need for fresh solutions to the persistent problems that challenge young men in particular. So in response we have bought 12 acres of beautiful Jamaican land with a river to build a holistic retreat and farm for young men from our inner cities.
We are seeking crowd funding to raise the money to build the facilities and in order to open the doors to our first cohort from September 2018.
Young people that are in difficult situations may benefit from a different environment and/or a new community. They need space in a positive environment, doing something positive with positive people.
We seek to offer the opportunity of an alternative life choice to those who would benefit from it at a pivotal point in their lives.
We aim to sustain TRIBE through selling farm goods and eco-tourism 3 months of the year. TRIBE will service 100 young men over a period of 3, 6 and 9 month residencies. All places will offer accommodation and food with no cost to the young person.
